The Federal Government Partial Shut Down has ended today and the government has resumed normal operations and trying to gain back momentum since Thursday morning. This was a 16-day shutdown. Although it was a partial shutdown, lot of government services were disrupted as well as thousands of employees were furloughed from their jobs.

The President Obama has signed the short-term bill ending the partial shut down on Thursday early morning, which was cleared in the House late Wednesday on a 285-144 vote. This bill lets the furloughed workers resume work as well as get the government services back to normal working conditions.
Shut Down Impact on Non-Immigrants
This shut down had major impact to those non-immigrants who were filing LCA (Labor Condition Application), since the DOL (Department of Labor) was also under partial shutdown. Also as a part of the government shut down, the E-Verify System was closed. All the features and services are now functional and back to normal conditions.
