Infosys is one of the biggest Indian multinational provider of software business consulting. Investigation upon the allegations placed against Infosys revealed that the company indeed placed its workers illegally in the United States on visitors visa at the American corporate client companies. The United States government is set and prepared to announce a  huge fine against Infosys which would be the biggest fine of its kind  in the American History.

Infosys to pay $35 M

The Department of Homeland Security could provide enough evidences to support the fact that Infosys have bought a number of employees to the United States under B-1 visas and the employees were working for the American client companies under the same visa, in spite of the H-1B visas which was a more expensive deal for the company. B-1 visas are actually meant for short visits to the United States.

It is reported that Infosys would be paying around 35 Million Dollar Fine, which would likely be the biggest fine in the American History. The announcement from the Department of Justice is expected to be sometime this week.
