I have applied for OPT Extension on April 1st 2016 and got a RFE in May, As I out of job and had difficulty addressing the New I-983 form. I have applied for COS from F1 to H4 and my H4 is approved. I checked the case status of my OPT and it still shows the same receipt information(doesn't even have RFE Information updated).

Now should i withdraw the Petition filed for OPT Extension or leave it without any action as my COS is already approved.

I started working in a company called i360 from April 11,2016 . My OPT start date was on Feb 1st. I have updated the college employment history update form for the first time as this is my first job . But it seems college hasn't updated the information in SEVIS reporting still . What makes me me worry here is May 1st is going to be the 90th day which is a weekend and they can't update it even today . You can go back home after OPT expires. You can join another university to study as your F1 would be still valid, but there wouldn't be OPT as you already used it up. You can apply for H1B when you get a sponsor. Try contacting companies, send resumes.

My OPT EXT expires on Feb 28 2014. After which I have 2 months grace period during which I can apply for H1B and get a cap gap. The company I am currently working for is willing to sponsor my H1 in 2014 (Apr 1 2014).

But in this cap gap I can stay in US but cannot work until the start of my H1B. One way that we have agreed upon to work this out is that I go back to India office till my H1 starts (Oct 1 2014) and come back to US. I am trying to see is there any other way out for this condition where I can stay here in US and work.
