In correlation with the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) mentioned “I predict it will pass the Senate by July 4“. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill will be discussed at the Senate Floor starting June 10th 2013. The bill would require 60 votes to pass the 100-seat Senate. Sen. Schumer expects that the bill would pass with about 70 votes.
There are polls being conducted and one of the last poll results show that seven in ten registered voters thinks this immigration bill would not pass due to various reasons. A new poll at the Quinnipiac University shows that only 24 percent of people believe that the congress can pass the legislation.

Keeping the poll results aside, there is still a strong hope the voting for the Immigration Reform Bill at the Senate would take place before the Independence Day, 4th of July 2013. There would be strong debating sessions in the coming weeks, to discuss on the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill).
