All immigrant visa applicants must complete filing the DS-260 online immigrant visa application form now. This needs to be done before the individual schedule visa appointment at the Visa Application Center (VAC) for biometric fingerprint and photograph collection prior to their Embassy or Consulate appointment.

DS-260 For Immigrants Only

Only those candidates need to file DS-260, If they intend to travel to the United States to live permanently. This is not for candidates who are traveling on a temporary basis to the United States. Those candidates should fill the DS-160 form as usual.

Fill DS-260 Form Online

DS-260 form can be filed online at https://ceac.state.gov/iv/. You need to have the NVC case number and the Invoice I.D. number in order to complete the form. You would be receiving those from the NVC (National Visa Center).
